Commentary

The beginning of this fragment, ἔνθα δ' ἐόντι, is a mistake of some kind. Hippolytus finds in this fragment a reference to God and the resurrection of the dead, and Robinson suggests that perhaps the reference to God is somehow contained in the correct version of the opening. Kahn claims that no satisfactory solution has been found, and he and others simply leave off the words.
