Commentary
[ Hide commentary ]The source of this fragment actually ascribes it to Socrates. But it follows his discussion of Heraclitus, and it contains the words ψυχή ('rational soul') and λόγος ('word', 'account'), so most commentators ascribe it to Heraclitus.
