Commentary
[ Hide commentary ]Heraclitus uses μόροι ('death') and μοίρας ('portions'), exploiting their common etymology. I am inclined to believe that Heraclitus uses the common etymology as proof of the claim — the λόγος teaches this (that greater deaths deserve greater portions) through language.
