ἓν τὸ σοφόν, ἐπίστασθαι γνώμην, ὁτέη ἐκυβέρνησε πάντα διὰ πάντων

Wisdom is one thing. It is to know the thought by which all things are steered through all things.

The text for the this fragment has been corrupted. The manuscripts have ὅτεη κυβερνῆσαι. I have provided the emendation made by DK: ὅτεη ἐκυβέρνησε. Robinson accepts this emendation as well, although noting a hesitation based on the feminine form of ὅστις (ὅτεη), which occurs nowhere in Greek literature. Kahn finds the ὅτεη impossible, and emends the whole phrase to this: ὅκη κυβερνᾶται.
