καθαίρονται δ᾽ ἄλλως αἵματι μιαινόμενοι οἷον εἴ τις εἰς πηλὸν ἐμϐὰς πηλῷ ἀπονίζοιτο
They purify themselves by defiling themselves with blood, as if one who had stepped into the mud were to go and wash his feet in mud.
